Labour Situation Update - Schools open on Monday, May 11http://por.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/board-news/30Labour Situation Update - Schools open on Monday, May 11<p>On Monday, May 4, 2015, the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) provided the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association (OPSBA) with official notice that they intend to commence provincial strike action on Monday, May 11, 2015. <br></p><p>On Friday, May 8, 2015, the SCDSB was notified that elementary school teachers across the board will be in a work-to-rule position beginning Monday, May 11, 2015. <strong>All SCDSB schools will remain open for student learning, and all child care centres and Before and After School programs will operate as regularly scheduled.</strong></p><p>To learn more about the labour situation, visit the <a target="_blank" href="http://scdsb.on.ca/Board/Pages/Labour-Situation.aspx">Labour Situation page</a> on the SCDSB's website.</p><p><strong></strong></p>

Bus cancellation information in case of inclement weatherhttp://por.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/board-news/20Bus cancellation information in case of inclement weather<p>​Although fall has just arrived, winter is just around the corner in Simcoe County. With it comes the possibility of severe weather, challenging winter driving conditions and, as a result, possible bus and school event cancellations. </p><p>All information regarding cancelled buses in Simcoe County is posted on the Simcoe County Student Transportation Consortium's bus information website at <a href="http://www.simcoecountyschoolbus.ca/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">www.simcoecountyschoolbus.ca</span></a>.  Check our <a href="/about-us/transportation">Transportation</a> page to see which zone our school is in. All Board-wide dates like PA Days and Holidays are available, as well as our school-based events. <br><br><strong>Learn About High School</strong><br>The <a href="/students/high-school"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">High School</span></a> page under Students gives an overview of what to expect in high school, and provides resources for parents to help their teen with the transition.</p><p><strong>Pay Fees Online</strong><br>The <a href="/parents/pay-fees"><span lang="EN-CA" style="text-decoration:underline;">Pay Fees</span></a> page is found under the Parents menu, and provides the link to access SchoolCash Online to pay for things like field trips and lunch days. Credit Card payments are accepted.</p><p><strong>Newsletters</strong><br>All of our monthly school newsletters will be posted on the <a href="/parents/newsletters"><span lang="EN-CA" style="text-decoration:underline;">Newsletters</span></a> page under Parents. They will also be emailed out to you when you sign up for a subscription to our website.</p><p>Take a look around our new website and try out all the new features.
